Friendster now on your phone??

Users of friendsters in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines can soon subscribe to its mobile phone service which can alert the user via SMS when the users get new friend request or receive new message and bulletin etc. Friendster does not charge its users for Friendster Text Alerts, but users are still subject to text messaging usage fees of their telephone and wireless service provider.

Personally I think this is stupid as its really serve no point, because we access the internet often and so I think knowing it through the mobile phone beforehand that you got a new friend request is dumb. Maybe unless your phone has Wi-Fi.
